I chose this uart just for convenience of wiring as next to the uart I chose for CRSF. I then wired these 2 signal pins from the Crossfire receiver to the Tx2/Rx2 pins on the Matek FC (this is SERIA元 in Ardupilot). I configured ch3/4 on the Crossfire Rx using the Crossfire LUA script (under Tools in OpenTx) to Mavlink Rx/Tx. Next to get Mission planner connected over the Wifi using Mavlink v2:

The Yaapu script was working OK at this point, (albeit occasional pauses on the artificial horizon every few seconds). I connected to Mission Planner (over USB) and could see the RC inputs working fine at this point. In OpenTx I accessed the model Telemetry page (13/14) and ran Discover new sensors, and immediately a long list of sensors appeared. (The Rx firmware should automatically be updated to match the Tx at this point if there is a mismatch) That was very easy, and green lights at both ends once done. I then loaded the crossfire LUA script from the Tools menu in OpenTx, choosing the Transmitter module, and went through the bind process. In OpenTx I loaded the Yaapu 1.9.5dev lua script options: enable CRSF = yes SERIAL1_BAUD=57 (n/a as Ardupilot will control the baud rate for CRSF) RX Batt Sensor=Off (not 100% sure this is correct) I configured ch7/8 on the Crossfire Rx Output Map to CRSF Tx/Rx and wired the corresponding channel data pins to the Rx7/Tx7 pins of the Matek FC (this is SERIAL1 in Ardupilot), along with power connections. Before I did this, the WiFi module didn't even appear in the LUA script.įor info, the Matek F765wse board is running AP v 4.1.0 Installed the WiFi firmware v2.04 alpha over the web interface whilst laptop connected to WiFi AP of the crossfire Tx.

You only really need to flash the fw to the Tx as when connecting the Rx after a bind it will automatically update the FW on the Rx. Tx & Rx to v 6.07 Using the TBS Agent-X utility whilst connected to hardware over USB). I managed to get rc control and yaapu script working fairly quickly but spent 2 nights trying to get Mission planner connected using mavlink, so thought I'd share the solution to save others with the struggle.įirst thing I did was to update the firmware on my new Crossfire gear:

I received the Crossfire kit, and quite impressed with the quality. Sorry in advance - this is going to be a long post! I just ordered full-size crossfire lite Tx unit and diversity rx (the big one), so really hoping I can get both these working simultaneously. Who has the yaapu script working with crossfire, whilst at same time connecting mission planner over crossfire WiFi?
